CHECKERS AND WRECKERS FOR FRIDAY, MAY 13TH  

WHAT HAPPENED 

FRIDAY, MAY 6TH:I94 SURE STEP SPEEDWAY-FERGUS FALLS, MN 

Ryan Mikkelson opened the night off by dominating the Limited Late Model feature.  Then Kyle Dykhoff took the lead with eight laps to go and earned the win in the Street Stocks.  Shane Edgington got passed rookie Kevin Burdick on lap number seven to get the Late Model trophy.  Justin Froemming held off Brendon Blasyck, Matt Schow, and a hard-charging Corey Storck (22nd to 4th) to win in the Midwest Modifieds.  Joseph Thomas inherited the lead on lap five of the Modified feature and brought home the win.  And Zach Kort rounded out the night by barely holding off Shawn Beto for the Short Trackers win. 

NASCAR 

SUNDAY, MAY 8TH: DARLINGTON RACEWAY 

Joey Logano used a bump-and-run move on William Byron late Sunday to pick up his first win of the year and securing a place in the NASCAR Playoffs.  That win makes it 11 different winners on the season and the first for Team Penske since the Daytona season opener.  Logano held off Tyler Reddick, Justin Haley, Kevin Harvick, and point leader Chase Elliott for career win number 27. 

Elliott still sits on top of the regular season standings, William Byron and Ryan Blaney are -65, Joey Logano is -79, and “The Watermelon Man” Ross Chastain is -89

WORLD OF OUTLAWS 

WEDNESDAY, MAY 11TH-LINCOLN SPEEDWAY-ABBOTTSTOWN, PA 

Jacob Allen took the race lead late in the Gettysburg Clash Wednesday earning win number two on the season in front of a wild hometown crowd.  Allen finished ahead of Justin Peck, Carson Macedo, Spencer Bayston, and Anthony Macri. 

Schatz had to win his Last Chance Qualifier and ended up rallying up to a 13th place finish.
