Most legal fees for conveyancing transactions in Peninsular Malaysia have increased from 1% to 1.25% since July 15th, affecting transactions involving non-contentious matters like the sale and purchase of movable and immovable properties, financing and tenancies. The Malaysia Competition Commission is questioning this hike, calling it uncompetitive.
