Iran War: Off-Ramp or Ground Troops?

View descriptionShare

The conflict in Iran hits its 30-day mark without a clear sign that the US has an off-ramp to end the conflict. American allies are seeking to de-escalate hostilities with Pakistan set to play mediator. Iran allies like the Yemeni Houthis have opened a new front threatening the safe passage through Bab el-Mandeb, the equivalent to the Strait of Hormuz but on the Red Sea, where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been re-routing millions of barrels of crude. We discuss where the war is headed with Dr James Dorsey, Adjunct Senior Fellow, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.
