After nearly 20 years, the exit of US troops from Afghanistan is underway, scheduled to be completed by the end of August. While this is a move long in the making, questions remain over whether a lack of US forces will once again allow for the Taliban to seize control of the country, and if Afghanistan's economy can survive the removal of military spending.
