🌍On MoneyFM 89.3’s Wide World Segment, Ravi and Aparna Sonnad, co‑founders of Enabling Leadership join Saturday Mornings Show host Glenn van Zutphen and co-host Neil Humphreys. We look at the global crisis hiding in plain sight: over 800 million children worldwide lack essential life skills from teamwork to communication to problem‑solving leaving them unprepared for the workforce and trapped in cycles of poverty.
Enabling Leadership is a Singapore‑based organisation transforming children’s lives through football, LEGO‑based learning, and the arts. Their programs are EL Play, EL Build, and EL Create and are now reaching 10,000 children across multiple countries. In Singapore, EL Play is already running in three public schools in Yishun, with plans to expand and introduce EL Build next year. Each child’s full program costs just USD 120 (SGD 400), covering sessions, journals, and a sports kit. Ravi and Aparna share powerful stories of how their programs help children — especially girls — build confidence, leadership, and resilience. They also discuss how companies in Singapore can partner through employee engagement and sponsorships.
