🌍On MoneyFM 89.3 H.E. Peter Storer, Ambassador of Austria to Singapore and Kenneth Tan, Pres, Singapore Film Society join Saturday Mornings Show host Glenn van Zutphen to look at the first‑ever Austrian Film Festival in Singapore, celebrating 60 years of Austria–Singapore diplomatic relations.

Running from 18–27 September, the festival showcases seven films that go far beyond the postcard image of Austria.

From The Blood Countess (opening gala with a Brotzeit reception) to features and shorts at Golden Village VivoCity, including Der Souffleur with Willem Dafoe, Sleeping with a Tiger, Toni Erdmann, and Double Happiness.

Then comes the grand finale: The Sound of Music at Capitol Cinema on 3 October, complete with Austrian culinary experiences, a live Kaiserschmarrn station, Austrian wine for VIP guests, and Red Bull‑sponsored drinks for regular ticket holders.

Ambassador Storer and Kenneth Tan share why Austrian cinema matters, how the festival deepens cultural ties, and why The Sound of Music remains one of Singapore’s most beloved films.
