Donald Trump is set to be America’s 47th president, after mounting the most momentous comeback in political history that will hand him massive power at home and around the world.
Trump will be returning to the White House after a polarising and dizzying campaign marked by two attempts on his life and a late decision by Democrats to put forth Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
He will only be taking office on 20th January 2025, and there will be a transition between the outgoing administration of President Joe Biden and the incoming Trump administration.
On Part Two of this two-part special edition of Morning Shot, focusing on the US Presidential Election, Bryan DeAngelis, Partner & Head of Washington Office at Penta Group and Bhagyashree Garekar, US Bureau Chief at The Straits Times share their insights.
