“I have done my duty, and I am very happy I chose this path of public service all those many years ago.” said PM Lee, in his last major speech as Prime Minister at NTUC's May Ray Rally on 1st May 2024.
Despite dark clouds on the horizon, PM Lee, who was also marking his 40th year in politics and two-decades as Singapore's Prime Minister, says that the Republic has built a strong foundation for its future generations to continue to write new chapters of the Singapore story.
On this episode of Morning Shot, Yeo Wan Ling, Assistant Secretary-General and Director of U SME and Women & Family Unit at NTUC shares what struck her the most in PM's speech and how Singapore's labour movement will continue to work with the government in years to come.
