As the world marks World Water Day 2026, attention is turning to how water is quietly shaping agriculture across Asia. Farming already accounts for about 70 percent of global freshwater use, even as climate change makes rainfall more unpredictable.

For Singapore, which imports over 90 percent of its food, this raises an important question: how are farmers adapting, and what does this mean for the resilience of our food supply?
