Those living in HDB flats will soon be allowed to keep up to two cats, with some wiggle room for those who already have more than that, subject to approval and checks on the cats’ welfare by the Animal and Veterinary Service. This follows a proposal by the Government to lift a 34-year ban on cat ownership in public flats.
