After two years of lull in tourism due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the popular Indonesian holiday islands of Bintan and Batam have reopened their shores to leisure travellers from Singapore. Starting from 24 January 2022, international travellers can travel between Indonesia (the Riau Islands) and Singapore through a travel bubble scheme called Batam Bintan-Singapore (BB-S).
