A new handheld device is set to address a significant challenge in treating Otitis Media with Effusion (OME), a common condition causing hearing loss in children.

Traditional ear tube surgeries, often requiring general anaesthesia and complex equipment, can be inaccessible, especially in under-resourced areas.

This innovative technology simplifies the procedure, offering a more accessible and less invasive solution.

Developed by Dr Lynne Lim, Founder, CEO, NousQ (a medtech startup), and a Senior Consultant Surgeon, Lynne Lim Ear Nose Throat and Hearing Centre it represents a major advancement in making critical paediatric treatments more feasible worldwide.
