On What's Trending, New Zealand has named the hoiho, or yellow-eyed penguin, its bird of the year, despite its status as the world's rarest penguin.
The hoiho, found only on the South and Chatham islands, has experienced a 78% population drop in the past 15 years.
Also, Singapore's National Environment Agency (NEA) has launched the Bloobin AI chatbot on WhatsApp and Telegram to help people determine if an item can be recycled.
The bot, named after the blue recycling mascot, was launched after a 2023 survey showed that 72% of households recycled.
