Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Feb 28), Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan calls Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a "clear and gross" violation of international norms and sets a completely unacceptable precedent.
He also says Singapore will impose export controls on items that can be used directly as weapons in Ukraine to inflict harm or to subjugate the Ukrainians.
In The Straits Times' The Big Story, assistant video editor Olivia Quay spoke to Dr Frederick Kliem, a research fellow at NTU’s S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies on these developments.
