Singapore equities began trading in positive territory today, mirroring overnight gains in Europe.

In the morning, the Straits Times Index (STI) opened 0.2 per cent higher at 3,305.42 points after 35.4 million securities changed hands.

In terms of companies to watch today, we have Keppel Reit, after the real estate investment trust priced A$175 million (S$158 million) of floating rate green notes due 2027. 

Meanwhile, from Yoma Strategic’s shares hitting a 16-month high, to SingPost appointing Merrill Lynch Markets Australia as a financial advisor to its board – more corporate headlines remain in focus,

Also on deck, the state of the US labour market, pressures on the Japanese Yen against the dollar, and Mexican food chain Guzman Y Gomez’s stellar IPO performance on the Australian Securities Exchange.
