Singapore stocks opened nearly flat today following gains in the European market.
The Straits Times Index fell 0.04 per cent to 3,307.59 points in early trade after 87.2 million securities changed hands.
In terms of companies developments to watch today, integrated resort operator Genting Singapore’s net profit for its second half-year ended December more than doubled from the year-ago period to S$255.7 million
Similarly, Sembcorp Industries posted a 54 per cent on-year increase for its H2 net profit ended December, as a result of higher contributions from its renewables and conventional energy segments.
