From next year, travellers flying out of Singapore will have to pay a green jet fuel levy of between $1 and $41.60, depending on their destination and cabin class. The money will go towards sustainable aviation fuel, as Singapore looks to make air travel greener.

But as the aviation industry works towards becoming more sustainable, should travellers have to foot the bill for greener flying?
