A Singapore animated film just made it into the main competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival for the first time in the festival's 65-year history.
It's a historic moment. But it also raises a harder question: if this is what it takes to make one film, can Singapore actually build a sustainable animation industry? Or is this a one-off?
