Singapore recently approved 16 species of insects such as crickets, grasshoppers and silkworms as safe for human consumption. The move is attracting businesses from Asia including Tokyo-based bioengineering company, Morus, which produces food from silkworms. It recently set up a subsidiary in Singapore. Morus' CEO, Ryo Sato, unravels the wonders of silkworms and why such edible insects could be a sign of things to come.
