The average American should expect to live about 79 years, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

If you're lucky, you're going to spend about one-third of that time sleeping. With the remaining time you have, the idea should be to spend as many of them as possible doing what you want to do and as few as possible doing what you have to do.

How do you maximize leisure hours and minimize labor hours? Work smarter, not harder.

That was the theme of Money Made Simple, a book I wrote back in 2004 and a course we now offer on this website.

With a few simple tips, tricks and habits, you can manage your financial life in minutes a year, and probably do a better job of it than you're doing now.
