Bond yields have soared, while the Australian share market has now plummeted to its worst point in more than 6 months.

• AUD: 63.14 US cents
• GOLD: $1,928 US/oz
• BITCOIN: $40,466 AUD

• Traditional safe haven gold fell overnight, hurting miners 
• Newcrest Mining down just under 3% to $23.78,  
• Northern Star down just under 5% to $10.03.
• And Evolution down more than 5% to $3.09
• The big 4 banks and Macquarie were all weaker, potentially because there is still no confidence that the RBA has finished its rate hikes this year.
