The iron ore price has lifted again, which is good news for some of the big miners and especially for the government’s bottom line.

• Telstra shares fell 2% to $3.87 despite confirming underlying earnings of $8.2 billion to $8.4 billion for fiscal 2024.
• Elders after lifting by more than 18% yesterday gave back some of its gains, but less than 2%
