• New Hope vaulted 2.2 per cent to $5.31 after posting a $1 billion profit on strong coal demand and record-high prices
• Fortescue up just under 2% to close just below $20.00  
• Syrah Resources down just under 10% to 50 cents a share.
• Afterpay owner Block slid 4.4 per cent
