The federal government has announced they have lowered the petrol standard for 60 days, Energy Minister Chris Bowen says it will add 100 million litres of fuel a month to domestic supply.

Aidan Morrison - Director of Energy, Centre for Independent Studies  says it doesn't even cover one extra day of our fuel needs.
