View descriptionShare

With a shortage of qualified employees, many companies are struggling to fill open positions.  But, one sector of the population is usually ignored.  Ex convicts and felons.

Vice President of Human Resources for Utah Housing Corporation, Sterling Barker, has great tips for businesses looking to fill their ranks.  They could be eligible for tax breaks and some organizations will pay a portion of an employees salary if they came out of the prison system.

Sterling also gives excellent tips to ex-cons if they are looking for jobs.  How do you get past the application?  What questions should you ask before the interview?  And, when do you disclose you've been in jail, or do you?
