 It all began with a passion for sustainability, extending to the environment. As such, Ten Swee Kien moved from being a health inspector to being an Accredited Landscape Architect and promptly went about winning himself some awards like the International Federation of Landscape Architects Africa Asia Pacific Middle East Awards 2018. Now Swee Kien teaches as well and intends to expand his knowledge and take up floral artistry to bring people closer to nature! He was also awarded the SkillsFuture Fellowships award in 2019. He’s also the co-founder of Ortus Design, a landscape architecture design firm. He joins us today to talk us through his love for nature, lifelong learning, how he continues to upskill and stay relevant and what’s needed in the landscape design space.
