Money FM 89.3's Elliott Danker & Yasmin Jonkers speaks with one of Singapore's Internet pioneers - Wong Toon King, Managing Partner at FarSight Capital and Chairman of WeGoGo.
He was actually one of our local poster boys for IT entrepreneurship in the 90’s for founding Singapore first Internet company SilkRoute Ventures which eventually was sold to Hong Kong's PCCW.
Toon King is also the man responsible for bringing in the Ben & Jerry’s franchise to Singapore - which he sold off in 2015.
He has won a string of awards, including 'Asia’s Internet Visionary of the Year' in 2000, the 'World Economic Forum’s Global Leader of Tomorrow', and the 'National Youth Award for Entrepreneurship' in 2001.
And to top that all off he’s also a former medal-winning national fencer, who started his own fencing school across various cities in the world.
Now the next big thing? He thinks it lies in Blockchain for the travel industry.
