As the year draws to an end, the trade outlook in Singapore is appearing to be rather bleak as our exports continued a downward trend which started eight months ago. This is not surprising because after all, as Singapore is a small economy with a trade exposure that runs as high as 396 percent of its GDP. Raymon Krishnan, President of The Logistics and Supply Chain Management Society tells us if external factors like the US-China trade war is the cause for the downward trend in Singapore’s economy and what to expect in 2020.
