Culturally responsive mediation

Mediation is often used to resolve disputes and conflicts. But a study by Nanyang Business School (NBS) finds that only 60% of the goals desired by disputants were achieved in mediation. It seems coming into play is cultural differences. So how can mediators take into consideration cultural orientation which impacts disputants' preferences of mediation styles? What does culturally responsive mediation look like?Associate Professor Tan Joo Seng is from NTU and joins us. He is also co-author of the study.
