A Prayer to Believe in the Light

The light has been given—and now it’s meant to be shared.It today's episode by, we are reminded of the words of Jesus spoken shortly after He raised Lazarus from the dead. Knowing His time on earth was short, Jesus urged the crowds to believe in Him while the light was still among them. His promise was clear: those who believe in the light become children of the light.

Reference: John 12:36

Prayer: Father, thank you that you give us the right to become your children when we believe in the light. May we always be aware that as children of light, we carry your light wherever we go. In Jesus' name, amen.

Jesus declared, “I am the light of the world.” Everything we’ve learned about light—from Genesis through the prophets—points directly to Him.In today's episode by Stacey Thacker, we are reminded to keep walking with the Light of the world. He has promised us life in Him—and the best is yet to come.

Prayer: Father, thank you that you sent Jesus to be the true light of the world. We believe that when we walk with Him, we will never walk alone, and we will have true life in Him. Thank you for these precious promises. May we walk worthy of Him and all that we say and do, in Jesus' name. Amen.

A Prayer to Love the Light by Stacey Thacker

While we love redemption stories—especially during the Christmas season—Jesus reminds us that some people cling to darkness rather than stepping into the freedom of the light.

This episode invites us to consider the condition of our own hearts and to intercede for those we love who are still walking in darkness, asking God to gently knock on the doors of their hearts.

Prayer: Father, you sent your son into the world because you loved us and desired to have an eternal relationship with us. That is the best news. I know people right now who don't know you personally. They live in darkness. And I pray that you would knock on the door of their hearts today. Open their eyes and Lord to the light and love you have for them in Jesus' name, amen.
