A Prayer to Resist Pride by Rachael Adams
As followers of Christ, we are invited to lay down judgment, extend compassion, and honor others as image-bearers of God.In this episode by Rachael Adams we reflect on the lasting impact of family decisions, the power of compassion, and the call to honor others—even when life doesn’t unfold the way we hoped. We also look at how Jesus restored dignity to women who were shamed by society, modeling a radical kind of honor that transcends culture, circumstance, and past mistakes. His example calls us to stop casting stones and instead treat others with love, respect, and humility.
Reference: Romans 12:10
Prayer: Father, forgive me when I degrade others. It is not my place to cast stones. Help me to absolve those who have shamed me. I don't want to live in disgrace or regret. Free me from these feelings. Thank you for showing me how to respect and honor people regardless of their behavior and decisions. I know I fall short of your glory every single day, yet you continue to love me. May I never forget the magnitude of that. In Jesus' name. Amen.
