A Prayer to Know His Father's Heart by Christie Thomas

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your gentle heart of love toward Israel and toward me. Help me see You as a delighted father rather than as an angry dictator. Thank You for holding back Your right to vent the full fury of Your anger for my sake. Help me trust You to ease the yoke of slavery to sin from my jaw and give me food, the Bread of Life. We live in an outrage culture — hot takes, anger, polarization... and sadly, Christians are often seen as part of the problem. But what if we became known for our gentleness instead? 😔➡️🕊️

Jesus didn't grasp at power. He humbled himself. He served. He died. And we are explicitly called to have that same attitude. (Philippians 2!)

And mama — how we respond to our kids today is showing them what Jesus looks like. That's the weight and the beauty of it. 🙏

Prayer: Father, help us to offer your gentleness to a longing world. In a culture full of outrage, help us to live another way, Your way. In Jesus' name, amen.

A Prayer to Keep our Strength Under Control by Christie Thomas

In today's episode by Christie Thomas, we talk about how Jesus could have entered Jerusalem with a golden horse, an angel army, and a royal parade. Instead, He rode in on a borrowed donkey, surrounded by friends. No fanfare. No flexing. Just quiet, humble strength. That's what true gentleness looks like — not having nothing to prove, but choosing to prove nothing.
