This summer I want to slow down, step outside, and actually look up. 🌿☀️

A Prayer for the Words in our Mouths by Nicolet Bell
Psalm 19 reminds us that creation is speaking — day to day pours out speech, night to night reveals knowledge. And our kids need to hear it.
Whether it's a scavenger hunt in the backyard or just sitting on the porch at the end of a long day — may we teach our children to notice what God is doing in the world around them.
Reference: Psalm 19
Prayer: Father, may my children notice and experience you in nature, and bring you praise and honor as a result. When we go outside this summer, may we see you. May I point you out to my children, and may they experience you in your world that you've created. May they delight in your word, in your law. Father, may they desire it more than they desire the finest things in this world. May they desire you more than they desire anything else. Help me to point them to you again and again. And Father, may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing and acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. In Jesus' name, amen.
