PlatteForum is a non-profit art organization that invites artist to have his or her own residency. It is a 6-8 week residency that gives them a new area to work in and they also get their own exihibt at the end of the eight weeks. They also have an art lab that is open to high school students that is a paid internship. A new exhibit, Concrete Redundancy, opens Friday, July 29 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. and runs through mid-August. The exhibit is free and can be seen on opening night or during regular gallery hours of Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. following the opening.
