Progress is being made to be more inclusive in sports but we have to be intentional to make a change.  Diversity is not just about race but also gender.  Women have been becoming coaches in the professional leagues.  The younger generation have been more open to have conversations about race and gender which is helping to start the change of inclusion.  We have never had a chance to practice talking about race or gender so people do not feel comfortable having the conversation.  Being uncomfortable is normal, we need to start normalizing conversations around race and gender.
