Mike closes The Restaurant Show with a mix of travel, restaurant news and one of his more unusual Colorado day trips. He highlights a St. Pete–Clearwater promotion offering selected travelers $10,000 to eat, explore, photograph sunsets and create social media content along Florida’s Gulf Coast, then heads closer to home for a visit to the Longhopes Donkey Shelter in Bennett. From there, Mike discovers Los Charros, a small-town Mexican restaurant serving poblano enchiladas, fresh salsa and a memorable neighborhood dining experience. The hour also covers KFC testing breakfast and a new restaurant format. Mike wraps with television recommendations, book club updates, Castle Rock Restaurant Week and another reminder that some of the best food and travel experiences start with simply getting out of your usual routine.

Since 1991, my Restaurant Shows have entertained people all along the Front Range on radio and television. The shows offer a knowledgeable, yet lighthearted, look at the ever changing restaurant scene throughout the Denver metropolitan area and Colorado Springs.

The shows occasionally venture into other areas like travel, movies, books, and sports. Groups of listeners also join me throughout the year for enjoyable vacations to places like Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean, and more. Authors interviewed include Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich, Gordon Liddy and novelists such as Michael Connelly, Steve Berry, Janet Evanovich, Alex Berenson, and many more.
