The Zimbabwean government is raising awareness on the dangers of using substances that have a potential of depleting the ozone layer.
The country ratified The Vienna Convention for the protection of Ozone layer and the Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer in 1992.
The Country Programme has been implemented since 1995 but owing to increased corruption and porous borders, Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) are still finding their way into Harare.
