The rural Owen-Withee School District in Clark County is going on five years as a maple syrup producer. Travis Engel is the ag tech instructor at Owen-Withee High School. He’s also a third-generation maple syrup grower -- knowledge he brought with him into the 'classroom'. Owen-Withee’s school forest has a very modern sap collection operation, giving students industry experience.
