The farm has been in the family since 1917, his grandfather purchased the 40 acre farm. He raised pigs, chickens, cows, and horses. His father got the farm after World War Two. His father had a stroke in 1998, leaving Ken to inherited the farm when he passed. Ken recalls a lot of struggles that the family went through. Such as mortgage payments in the 20's, and that wasn't settled until his dad took it over. He also recalls doing a lot of the milking growing up and being able to only use 1 bucket. He doesn't miss the cold morning of milking and using the cows to warm up. He cherishes those memories more now as he rents the farm. The future nonetheless is bright as his grand daughter and great grandkids will continue the farm.
