To help, he says Wisconsin has invested $100 million to get regional partners involved to solve the problem and is waiting for the results of that. He's looking to the Biden administration and Congress to use immigration policy as a solution. He says another $100 million investment went to dairy processing grants to help with plant expansions and increased costs of production. He says he wants the state Legislature to come up with a plan to invest a record surplus in the ag, and specifically dairy, industries. Looking ahead, he wants policy and budget discussions to surround ag exports, processing and supply chain, and farmer mental health.
