In 1946 pictured is the governments first attempts at soil erosion by including terracing in the fields. David Brennan shares as this took place at the end of his farm and his neighbors. They brought in big equipment and put terraces in the side hill to help with soil erosion in fields. Which is a common practice now used today when it comes to crops. His grandfather was the one who purchased the farm, as it it now 157 years old as David and his wife own it now. In the 60's they took the terraces out and went to contour strips. They are no strictly no till for the field management today. They sold the cows in 2007 and went from milking cows to beef. David and wife have a daughter and Son-In-Law whoa re interested in the continuation of the farm.
