YearBeyond applications are open – unemployed youth urged to take up the opportunity! The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport has announced the opening of applications for unemployed youth to be part of the YearBeyond programme – an opportunity to gain valuable working experience while also giving back to their communities.  YearBeyond is a youth in service partnership between Government, the National Youth Development Agency, donors, and NGOs. Initiated in the Western Cape, it is a national programme that provides unemployed youth (18-25 years old) with meaningful work experience and a pathway to further studies or work, while at the same time encouraging a culture of community service.

Ricardo Mackenzie, Provincial Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, explains more
