As you many know, this week is Stroke Awareness Week across the country (28 October – 3 November) because stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Did you know there’s such a thing as a ‘mini stroke’ aka TIA?  Although transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) are often called ‘temporary” or “mini strokes” and are said to pass quickly, they’re still a medical emergency one should never ignore. Could TIAs be considered a warning sign for having a regular stroke in the future?
