The Cape Town Carnival- A street treat is on the way, and Cape Town is getting ready to party. The Cape Town Carnival has officially announced its 2026 spectacle, returning to Green Point’s Somerset Street on 21 March for another explosion of colour, music, dance and community spirit. From celebrity Carnival Champions and handcrafted floats to performers representing cultures from across the city, the parade promises to once again transform the Fan Walk into one of the most vibrant celebrations on the African continent. Tracey Carter, the Performance Director was our guest.
