Later this month, non-profit company - the African Women in Energy and Power (AWEaP) will launch the second cohort of its Just Energy Transition Skills Development Programme with a group of 30 trainees in Gauteng, following the successful 2022 pilot in Mpumalanga with a cohort of 32 utility and government officials.
The programme will be delivered in partnership with the Wits Business School and the training targets operators, managers, and leaders within the country’s electricity utilities, to provide them with the critical skills and knowledge needed to actively participate in South Africa’s evolving energy landscape.
