We have a slight selection problem at the SPCA.
Her name is Springbokkie.
But she has turned up wearing an All Black jersey.
Completely black.
Not a stitch of green and gold anywhere.
Frankly, in South African rugby, this could get awkward.
Springbokkie is a small little dog, under knee height and weighing only about nine kilos.
But as Cheslin Kolbe has demonstrated rather convincingly, size has nothing to do with heart.
This little Springbok has plenty of pace, plenty of bounce and a sidestep .
She is active, affectionate and has the sweetest nature.
And Springbokkie has already had quite a season.
She has been a fantastic mom to her two little pups, getting them safely through the opening rounds.
Now the youngsters are sorted, and Mom is finally ready for a transfer of her own.
Preferably to the starting line up of a loving family.
She loves affection and is quite happy to leap straight into your arms for a gentle cuddle.
So despite the All Black look, we can confirm she is definitely playing for the home side. And she's ready to play the most important position of her career - preferable centre of your heart.
Go and meet Springbokkie at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA on the corner of First Avenue and First Road in Grassy Park.
Call 021 700 4152, email adoptions@spca-ct.co.za or apply online at capespca.co.za and look for Springbokkie under Adoptable Pets.
Every animal adopted from the Cape of Good Hope SPCA is healthy, vaccinated, microchipped, temperament assessed and sterilised. You will also get great service from people who really care and who will help you find a pet who will fit into your family perfectly.
