Cape Town, get the tissues ready… this wagging tail is a tear-jerker. 

Many of these Home A Hound back stories begin with animals arriving at the SPCA as strays or surrenders, and Bram’s story is no different - but his journey will truly pull at your heartstrings. While shopping centres are places of joy for most, this precious boy experienced something very different. He was found wandering, hungry, searching for scraps to soothe his grumbling tummy, scared for his life and covered in ticks. But thanks to a kind-hearted Good Samaritan, Bram was brought to the SPCA - and that’s where everything changed. 

At four years old, this mixed-breed boy has made an incredible transformation. From surviving on scraps… to now dreaming of a home filled with love - and, of course, regular meals. 

Because one thing about Bram? He absolutely loves his food. But don’t let that fool you - he’s just as happy heading out on walks, exploring the world, and he wouldn’t mind a furry sibling to share life with. Bram has blossomed into a bright-eyed, tail-wagging boy who is ready to share his joy with a family of his own. And while his journey started off rough, he never let it take away his shine. 

He is sweet, lively, and just wait until he settles in… that goofy side of his is guaranteed to make you smile. Bram says: “I’ve known what it’s like to go without… now I’m just hoping for a full bowl and a full heart.”
