Last week a Manenberg mother Tasleema Erasmus was shot during a stone throwing gangfight between 2 groups of youths who regularly clashed in the streets, her son was involved in 1 of the gangs, 3 days before her murder she reached out to teacher & community activist Yumna Alexander for help in getting her son out of the gang & back in school, after the tragic death there is a silver lining as 7 of the kids involved in the gangs have enrolled into Yumna’s night school.
