Clarence Ford spoke to Irshaad Kathrada, CEO of the Localisation Support Fund about the report from a study on South Africa’s clothing, textile, footwear and leather (CTFL) manufacturers, which found that the country could unlock an additional R5.11 billion a year in local sourcing revenue and, in turn, create 51 684 direct and multiplier jobs if local content requirements already set out in policy are more fully applied in practice.
