Fairobots is a South African robotics team from Fairbain College in Goodwood that competes in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), a global robotics competition. The team designs, builds, and programs robots to complete various tasks on a game field. Fairobots is part of the Sakhikamva Foundation's initiative to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, with a focus on robotics, AI, and other tech fields. The team's participation in FTC has been marked by innovative solutions and strong performances. They have won awards such as the Promote Award and have advanced to higher stages of the competition, including the semi-finals at national levels. Fairobots’ approach blends technical expertise with creativity, consistently showing strong teamwork and engineering capabilities. Their involvement also supports the Foundation’s broader goals of empowering South African youth to pursue careers in technology and innovation.To raise funds for the trip the school is holding a fundraiser on the 14th September.
